Things I have learned with Hilery Dorrian
As one of the lecture series core speakers, Hilery has given lectures on so many areas of our work. Inevitably there are topics and remedies that there are not time for in a particular day or that don’t fit neatly into an overall subject. This will be a melting pot day which will cover lots of small but incredibly useful remedies, therapeutic hints and tips and expanded remedy pictures. As well as many therapeutic insights and clinical tips, Hilery will also cover a fuller picture of Berberis vulg, Arania Ixobola and Kali Bromatum amongst others.
I am also hoping that Louisa from Serpentina Books will also be able to attend, bringing with her lots of lovely books for us to peruse – have a chat with Santa and see if Christmas could come early
Venue: Cornerstone Community Centre, Church Road, Hove, East Sussex, BN3 2FL

A day on Lac remedies with Hilery Dorrian
If you have seen Hilery before you will already know that her days are packed with useful, practical, tried-and-tested information. She will spend a day covering remedies from this group – I am really looking forward to this one as I feel this is often an under-prescribed range of remedies with great potential

Meditative provings with Peter Joyce
I am delighted to welcome Peter to Hove to give an overview of the remedies he and Marion tend to use most in practice, as well as looking at some of the newer remedies. He will also share their approach to working with digestive issues. Remedies covered will probably include Sycamore Seed, Black Obsidian, Okoubaka, Apple Tree, Rose Quartz and, of course, Thymus Gland, in addition to some of the newer ones - Australian Sandstone, Ivory, and Scarlet Elf Cup.
About Peter
Many of us will know of Peter and Marion Joyce’s work in producing the first widely available Repertory of the Meditative Provings. Peter trained at the College of Practical Homoeopathy in London graduating as LCPH and completing his postgraduate work in 1997 to become a MCPH. Marion trained him in the practical use of iridology and in 1999 ran an iridology course for their Homoeopathic Network Group when a formal diploma course validated by the Guild of Naturopathic Iridologists was completed. Homoeopathically Peter works mainly with children and young adults initially gaining experience with cystic fibrosis and autistic spectrum patients. He lectures at the College of Practical Homoeopathy and runs courses with Marion in Iridology.
Currently Peter’s work seems to be focusing upon the use of meditative remedies in combination as ‘breakthrough’ or unblocking agents  with his use of CEASE and GAPS therapy and his investigation of the so called ‘Dead Pelvis’ syndrome. He has also concentrated upon Thymus Gland as a key ‘blueprint’ remedy to help repair vaccine damage and more generally the emotional, mental and physical stresses of childhood and adolescence. In particular the importance of diet, acid/alkali balance and the use of the newer meditative remedies to support these themes is occupying his thoughts and practice

Divination and the Goddess traditions with Myriam Shivadikar
The Tarot is an ancient Symbolic system of Divination, its history dating back to the Egyptians and beyond. The 22 Major Arcana form part of the Holy Book in Judaism called the Torah. In ancient times, Symbols were the universal language, they still are today, and have been used for divination throughout the ages.
The Cards are rich in meaning and symbolism, they can be used to tap into the subconscious, as well as giving clarity when problem solving. Insights via Divination are akin to looking at the weather forecast before going out – it’s practical and very useful. In these uncertain times, this can be a great asset!
Myriam has been using this as a tool, for over 7 years, and has discovered the Homeopathic remedies related to each card. If you chose to buy a deck, she recommends the ‘Rider Waite’ Universal deck. You can bring it with you to the day itself. In this Seminar, we will focus on the 22 Major Arcana, you will learn:  The History & Principles , The 22 Major Arcana, The 4 Elements & the 4 Suits, Homeopathic Remedies related to the Cards,  Basic Card Spreads – How to apply this to your Patients. As one of our lecture series regulars, Myriam always delivers a packed and lively day. An experienced practitioner and international lecturer she weaves many strands of information and ideas into a lecture. We hope you will find this day to be both inspiring and fascinating, adding in and developing resources for you individually and as a homeopath, whether you are new to this field or an experienced practitioner.

Prescribing for good mental health with Hilery Dorrian
This lecture will follow on and develop areas from the very popular day Hilery gave on Anxiety and Depression a while ago. This day is ideal to follow on from that first lecture, but can also be attended as a very valuable day for your practice if you didn’t. Hilery will consider aspects of mental health including panic attacks, OCD, as well as adding to our range of how we work with anxiety, depression and support people struggling with stress

Marigold Short is a member of a team of homeopaths working at a Low Cost Clinic in Bakewell, Derbyshire. The clinic is able to offer one student place at each clinic session. Each place costs £10 which goes towards running the clinic. The duty homeopath will give 1/2 hour or so after each session to discuss case management. Any more time would need to be arranged with the homeopath privately. Students will not be taking cases unless the duty homeopath is a registered supervisor and is happy for them to do so. Any student wishing to take up a place should call 01629 814815. The clinic runs from: The Bakewell Natural Therapy Rooms, Ferndale House, Buxton Road, Derbyshire, DE45 1DA.
Magdalena Whitehouse runs her clinic at 78 High Street, Hurstpierpoint, West Sussex.
"This clinic is an opportunity for students to sit in with live cases, taken by myself. Each case is followed by a teaching discussion session leading to choice of prescription, which is made ultimately by myself. Together we shall study:
  • What is to be cured
  • Methods of analysis
  • Careful rubric selection
  • Comparative materia Medica
As we follow the patient through follow up appointments we shall be looking at case taking techniques and case management. If a student brings their own patient, they are entitled to a free clinic." Magdalena has been running a homeopathic practice and been involved in teaching and supervision of students for 10 years. Originally qualified from London College of Homoeopathy, she has recently completed further studies with Jeremy Sherr at Dynamis, and now holds the qualification Practitioner of Classical Homoeopathy (PCH). Her student clinic runs from 2pm - 7pm, bi-monthly. Student charge £15; Patients £30.

Grace DaSilva-Hill runs a students' clinic in Faversham - Kent (just a few miles in-between Ashford, Canterbury and Maidstone), with easy access from Surrey, East and West Sussex and South London.
The clinic takes place on Thursdays, once monthly, from 3.00 till 8.00 pm.  Grace has supervised students' clinics since 1999, in a supportive, friendly and professional setting.
The clinic takes five students, from any College, and we all sit in with the patient, with one homeopath taking the case, either a student or myself. We then discuss the case, decide on appropriate method and prescription, incl. comparative materia medica, and the remedies are then posted to the patient - the student takes responsibility for the patient's needs with my support.
Students are encouraged to be creative and emphasis is put on self-development and building confidence.
These clinics have proved to give valuable practical homeopathic experience and have been well evaluated over the years.
Free car parking. 15 mins. walk to railway station. The student fee is £28 per clinic and there is an expectation that students will attend regularly; refreshments are provided. Students are welcome and encouraged to bring their own patients. Dates for the year are on my website www.healingwithgrace.co.uk
